MEET THE OWNER

Jade Bolinger-Barragan is the heart behind The Turquoise Barn Boutique. 

Born and raised in Globe, Arizona, Jade’s connection to beautiful stones began long before The Turquoise Barn ever existed. Named after a gemstone herself, she grew up surrounded by the mining world and a family with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. That upbringing sparked a lifelong appreciation for natural stones, their individuality, and the stories they carry.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from Grand Canyon University, Jade turned that lifelong connection into something of her own. In November 2022, The Turquoise Barn was born (in her parents living room), making Jade the second generation of her family to step into the jewelry business.

Today, Jade has chosen to focus The Turquoise Barn on what she has always loved most: authentic turquoise jewelry set in sterling silver crafted by Native American Artist. She carefully selects pieces from talented artists whose craftsmanship, heritage, artistry, and history she deeply admires.

For Jade, this jewelry is about so much more than a beautiful stone. She is endlessly fascinated by the talent and skill behind each handcrafted piece the silversmithing, stonework, techniques, and artistic traditions that make this jewelry so distinctive. It is an art form she has tremendous respect for and knows she will never stop learning about or appreciating.

Every piece brought into The Turquoise Barn is selected with intention. Jade wants her customers to discover jewelry that feels special something to wear and love now, while appreciating the artist and craftsmanship behind the piece.

And those customers have become one of the most meaningful parts of the Barn. Turquoise Barn customers have supported Jade, traveled to pop-ups, shared their collections, and turned a love of turquoise into a community. Helping someone find their piece the one they immediately know belongs to them is still one of her favorite parts of what she does.

Life at the Barn has also gotten a little sweeter.  Jade is now a mama to her brand new baby boy, Beau Daniel, and loves life with her pup who’s also her baby Chapo. Her boys are her whole heart and the greatest motivation behind everything she does. They give her an even bigger reason to keep dreaming, growing, and pouring her heart into The Turquoise Barn continuing to build something meaningful for the customers and community who have made this dream possible.
